Are you all enjoying the snow and cold up in the U.S.? Me? Don´t mind me here in the south end of the planet at the end of the world in the heat! Wow... it is just feeling so hot here... that hole in the Ozone layer isn´t helping out either! I´m glad that I have sunscreen though! Now only if I had clouds in a can or something to block the sun and to get it to cool down... oh well, before I know it the Chilean Fall and Winter will be here and I will have nothing but rain and cold!
Well, this last week was kinda hectic and I´m glad that it ended... I was just so frazzled with how odd it was....
We had a HUGE CONFERENCE with just our zone on Tuesday. I had to give about 4 hours of teachings and practices to my district and we all put goals as a district and all of that fun stuff to help the Lord´s work progress, and then we all had a big zone meeting and it was just very long... We arrived at 10 am and it lasted until 8 pm. Of course we all had a small break period.... but more than anything it reminded me of the MTC.... but I liked the MTC a lot more. ^_^ Maybe that is because some of the leaders in the Zone I don´t really agree with a lot of what they say... but oh well.. nobody is perfect, and I´m sure not! We did learn a lot though and hopefully the things will continue to get better for us here in our sector for Elder Hinckley and I!
Well, I was planning on doing an intercambio with a sector that is outside of Los Angeles, because I still haven´t been able to do it since the beginning of this cambio.... because every single time I have planned one with them, something random and unexpected comes up and just makes it impossible. Well I thought for sure that it would work this past week because they slept in our house and I was going to get up and leave with one of them then come back the next day... but then the traveling assistants randomly called 2 minutes before bedtime and changed my plans for me! SO FRUSTERATING!!!! But anyways, he stayed with us for 2 days, but I got out of the second day with him because I had to do an intercambio with a different sector in my district and I made a game for us... who could put the most baptizmal dates! We both were excited over that and we both came away with one baptizmal date.
Then on Friday we all had interviews with Presidente Martinez. I always look forward to talking with him. He is so inspired and even though he gave a 10 minute limit, it was a very uplifting experience. He asked me what my goal as a missionary is right now... I told him that I am trying to develop more charity and love, and also that I am trying to be a Preach my Gospel missionary, because if I am a missionary of Preach my Gospel, I´ll be able to complete my purpose as a missionary better. I then asked him what his greatest desire is, and he said that his greatest desire is for all of us, his missionaries to always be temple worthy after our missions and that we can always be progressing in the gospel until the end! ^_^ What a pure desire!
Well, I would write more, I have a lot more to write, but my time is up for the day! I love you all so much! I hope you are all well and I hope you enjoy the pictures of our adventure to a waterfall called "Salto de laja" it was so beautiful and felt so nice outside by a waterfall today!
