Hey there everybody!
I hope you all had a great week! It has been a tough week in the work of the Lord here in Llaima. It has been a cold wet week with lots of smoke... and even a bit of hail! It is getting to the point that everything is freezing during the middle of the night, but that´s a okay! :)
Well, this past week has gone by really slow some days, and really fast other days. And this week I completed 10 months of my mission! Woah O.o I can´t believe it. It has been a rough week... no one really wanted to talk with us this week... especially on Saturday when there was another Chilean Soccer game going on. Almost everyone in the Country watches the soccer games of Chile when they play... it is ridiculous! Even the people who don´t like soccer watch the game! Haha. During the middle of the soccer game, after knocking door after door after door, we decided to say a prayer so that we could get some help from on high. Well, after a little bit of time, just when things looked like they weren´t going to get any better, we found an old lady who really needed our help. She is really sick and had a full hip replacement.... so she was in a lot of pain. We ended up giving her a blessing and she was very grateful. Without the Lord's help in his work, we can´t get anything done!
The weather has been all over the place this past week... we were walking on a bright sunny day... and then out of nowhere, the tempurature dropped and it started hailing hard on us... good thing that I had my umbrella with me! The fog and smoke was really thick a couple of days this week too... these cold tempuratures aren´t helping out the sickness that I have in my lungs and throat... but I am doing my best! I know I will get better one day! I think soon I will run out of gunk to cough up out of my lungs! It isn´t an unlimited supply... right?
Well, this last week nothing too out of the ordinary crazy stuff happened here in Llaima. But we did help Roberto, my convert, move a bed from the second floor of his house to the first floor... but we had to move it out through his window and off the roof... we were way up high! I don´t like heights at all... but I survived! Well, this is the last week of our cambio... so at the end of this week I will find out if I will be styaying here or going to another sector... I will just keep working my hardest and accept the calling to wherever I need to be... because I don´t think I will stay here for another cambio... but I will just have to wait and see! I hope you are all doing well! Thanks for all the love and support always! Happy Father´s Day Dad this next Sunday! Sorry I can´t be there to celebrate! Thanks for being such a great Dad! I love you all so much! I love you too Caralyn! Take care always! Until next week!
Con mucho amor,
Elder Garrett
